Feel good by doing good

At Bill's Bed we source our materials and fabrics right here in Canada from manufacturers who care about the environment as much as we do.  We do what we can to ensure we use sustainable products with as little as possible carbon footprint.

All foams used in our Bill’s Bed are produced by Canada’s largest and are CertiPUR-US certified. That means that the foams are made without:

  • ozone depleters
  • PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants
  • mercury, lead, and other heavy metals
  • formaldehyde
  • phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission
  • Low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million)

Our foams are poured in Canada using manufactures that use CO2 as a foam blowing agent instead of harmful or ozone-depleting chemicals. One of the results of this technology is a bio-based foam that helps reduce our nation’s dependence on foreign oil. The foam technology used is fully-recyclable, PBDE free and made without the use of CFC’s.

We source our bed frames from several Canadian family-run business.  The bed frames are made in Canada in a state-of-the-art facility near Montreal, QC. The main raw material in the manufacturing of the bed frame is recycled steel. It is hot rolled steel manufactured in Cambridge, ON from recycled material combined to make a very strong and sturdy angle iron. All components are cut, punched, assembled and painted into a metal bed frame. The paint used to coat the bed frame is a water-based paint. This minimizes the impact on the environment. In the end, the bed frame and its packaging contain more than 85% post-consumed material.

Designed and built in Canada by a Carbon neutral facility located just outside of Toronto. They use lumber sourced from Canadian sustainable forests and the lumber used is material salvaged from the construction industry. No trees are cut for the use of our box spring. Our box springs are using eco friendly products.
